A doula for the modern family
Hi 👋🏼 I’m Alexandra and I’m a fertility, birth, and postpartum doula! I was drawn to birth work after a highly medicalized birth with my son. Although I had the vaginal birth I wanted, I couldn’t help but feel I was pressured into making choices I shouldn’t have had to. My passion is ensuring my clients are informed and empowered to have the birth they want in the setting they want; meaning, I will have their back in the hospital, the birth center, or at home. Regardless of your choice you deserve respect and to be heard. Period.
I later found postpartum support was almost non existent in our society and I’m dedicated to making a lasting change in our community. I firmly believe we need to “mother the mother” when adjusting to life with a new human at home. I only use trusted methods and gentle routines to help life seem more manageable for everyone. This lead to starting our very own postpartum support agency, Nurtured Beginnings with doula Keri.
Over the past 14 years I’ve supported families of all shapes, sizes, genders, and religions and I’m excited work alongside doulas who I know are just as passionate as I am.
